Why do I enjoy acting?

I started directing short plays that I made up, when I was 6 years old. I lived at my grandfather’s ranch in Cuernavaca, Morelos, Mexico, and my cousins where my actors and actresses!

Together we made our family gatherings more fun!

When I became Fine Arts teacher, I enjoyed writing scripts and performing the short plays that I wrote with my students. We had the opportunity to shine on stage during school special celebrations, holidays and literacy events.

In 2023, I decided to audition for a short-film with Houston Media Source. Directors Mark Rodriguez and Raul Rodriguez chose me! I was 55. I thought I was too old to be an actress, but to my surprise, I got the female lead actress role for “MI REYNA Y EL REY”!

This experience changed my life completely and gave the opportunity to accomplish another dream! Since then, I have been in 3 short films and just competed in the 48 hr Film Contest in 2025.

I am anxiously, waiting for them to announce the winners this October 2025!

It’s never too late to DREAM BIGGER than YESTERDAY!
